Ko Thé was born into a family at the rubbish dump. Life at the dump is all he knows. He’s never been on a field trip to the outside world, beyond the dump, and although he’s heard about the people who don’t wake up to the stench of rotting waste or the sound of dogs fighting over scraps in the pile, that life is a distant fairytale. When given paper and crayons, he didn’t draw his family together, in front of their home, under a bright sun.
He drew his family & neighbors encircling a new load delivered by dump-trucks, because to him,
This is life.
Ko Thé is just one among many children who need to know that life is about so much more than plastic and aluminum cans.
